The 2022 Global Health Leadership in Practice course is now open for enrollment, which is one of the global health cooperation projects between Peking University and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. It is also part of the "Global Classroom" project of Peking University and the "Global Integrated Classroom" project of the Global MOOC Alliance. The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), founded in 1997, is a university alliance made up of top research universities in countries and regions around the Pacific. The three themes of the alliance activities are: shaping higher education and scientific research in the Asia Pacific region, cultivating global leaders in the Asia Pacific region, and working together to solve the challenges facing the Asia Pacific region. The current membership includes 56 universities, of which Peking University is one of the founding members.
APRU is one of the more vital university alliances that Peking University participates in. Since joining the alliance, Peking University has actively participated in or undertaken activities, for example, the annual meeting of presidents, the annual meeting of senior administrators, the Provost's Forum, the Dean's Conference, the CIO and the Education and Research Technology Forum, the aging seminar, the multiple-hazard seminar, the brain science seminar, the public health seminar, the student leaders' forum and the undergraduate summer school, etc.
