Introduction to the Lectures


Progress in Global Health is one of the courses studied by the global health major, aiming to highlight the cutting-edge and application of the profession. For this, senior officials and well-known scholars at home and abroad were specially invited to hold a series of characteristic lectures, introducing the important fields of global health and the progress of relevant research, covering global health security, global health diplomacy, global health governance, global health emergency, and research on major global health and health issues, in the form of online and offline integration. Not only can it enable listeners to gain useful knowledge and enlightenment from the rich practice and insight of the lecturers, but also their global vision can be broadened and their understanding of global health affairs and international organizations can be improved.


Lecture 6 China's Foreign Aid and Health Development Cooperation


Special Guest: Wang Luo

Director of the Institute for International Development Cooperation, MOFCOM. He worked in the Foreign Aid Department of the Ministry of Commerce from 2012 to 2013, served as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce from 2007 to 2012, and went to Japan to work as a visiting scholar in a comprehensive research institute from 2006 to 2007.

  International development cooperation, China's foreign aid and South-South cooperation are involved in his research. He presided over and participated in many major research projects of the Ministry of Commerce and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, such as "Research on Countermeasures for Foreign Aid Services ‘the Belt and Road 'Construction", "China's Foreign Aid Development Program (2016-2025)", "Guidance on Country Assistance in the South Pacific Region", "Research on China's Foreign Aid Human Resources Development Cooperation Planning", "Performance Evaluation of Foreign Aid in the Fields of Health Care, Education, Science and Technology", "Performance Evaluation of Human Resources Development Cooperation" , "Research on the Fourteenth Five Year Plan of China's Foreign Assistance", etc., and presided over the preparation of the "White Paper on China's Foreign Assistance (2014)". His articles, such as Reflections on the Reform of China's Foreign Aid Management System and Mechanism, Goals, Principles and Policy Suggestions for Aid to Africa to Promote China Africa Capacity Cooperation, were issued. He is the editor in chief of the book Chinese Programme of International Development Assistance.
