Peking University Shougang Hospital had its surgeons present at two consecutive international symposiums in gastrointestinal surgery in late August.

At the 9th Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine held August 21-23 in Malysia, Prof. Gao Qingkun took part in a closed-door meeting on oncology and rehabilitation with peers from Singapore, South Korea and Germany. The main event, with the theme “Future Proofing Rehabilitation: Building Solid Foundations, Embracing Change”, gathered over 800 experts in rehabilitation.

At the 26th Annual Conference of the Egyptian Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons in August 27-29, Prof. Gu Jin, leading expert of gastrointestinal surgery at Shougang, presented innovative breakthroughs in the integration of minimally invasive and intelligent technologies. The conference showcased the latest development in the field and attracted over 200 surgeons from Midde East, Europe and North America.
