2023 Laos Social Indicator Survey (LSIS III)
The 2023 Laos Social Indicator Survey (LSIS III) is the latest round in a series of national surveys designed to generate high-quality data for assessing the living conditions of children, adolescents, women and households in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Conducted from March to September 2023 by the Lao Statistics Bureau in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Sports, LSIS III is financially supported by the Government of Laos, UNICEF, the United Nations Population Fund and other agencies.
Adopting the 2021 village registry provided by the Lao Statistics Bureau, the survey sampled households across all 18 provinces to ensure national representativeness. It covers 21,000 households across three types of areas: urban locations, rural areas with road access, and remote rural areas without road connectivity. Survey teams interviewed household heads, eligible women and men aged 15-49 within selected households, as well as children under 5 and children aged 5-17.
Malaysia Department of Statistics Open Data Platform (OpenDOSM)
Launched by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), the OpenDOSM is the official national open data platform. It aims to transform massive official statistics into transparent, user-friendly and actionable digital resources. The platform integrates core functions including data cataloging, visual analytics and official publication downloads. It covers population demographics (age, gender and ethnic statistics by state and district), vital statistics (birth rates and mortality rates by cause of death), healthcare resources (distribution of clinics and hospitals together with basic medical facility statistics), environmental governance, inequality measurements and other social development indicators.
Singapore Open Data Platform
Managed by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech) of Singapore, the platform promotes government transparency, academic research and commercial innovation through open data sharing. It aggregates over 4,500 datasets from more than 70 government agencies, with an average of millions of daily API calls, widely adopted in various mobile applications.
In addition to raw downloadable files, the website presents real-time indicators via dynamic charts covering weather conditions, PM2.5 levels, rainfall, Housing & Development Board (HDB) residential data, geospatial information, real-time traffic conditions, public health metrics, school distribution and student vacancy information, social welfare statistics, business registration records, Consumer Price Index (CPI), foreign trade volume, tourist arrivals and other macroeconomic indicators.

As one of Brunei’s longest-running and most complete baseline health datasets, it supports long-term public health trend analysis.
Timor-Leste Health Information Dataset
Developed by Our World in Data, this dataset integrates comprehensive global health indicators and research findings for Timor-Leste. Supported by multi-dimensional interactive charts, it systematically documents progress in improving basic sanitation conditions and reducing mortality, with long-term tracking focused on malaria, tuberculosis and under-five child mortality.
It further highlights structural challenges facing Timor-Leste, including childhood vaccination coverage gaps, environmental health risks and healthcare system resilience. These openly accessible empirical data not only reflect Timor-Leste’s performance in achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, but also provide rigorous quantitative evidence for research on regional public health governance and international development cooperation.
